Preventing Osteoporosis

Every woman can take steps to prevent osteoporosis.

If you are in your 20s or 30s, with good nutrition and exercise, your body can continue to build bone mass. Regardless of your age, weight-bearing exercise (such as walking, jogging, aerobics and weight training), a diet high in calcium, and a reduction of smoking, soda pop and alcohol intake can reduce your chances of developing the debilitating effects of osteoporosis.
